Scholarships
For both international and domestic students
Allocated scholarship
Available only to master’s degree students. Recipients are selected by the department chair based on the previous semester’s GPA and other qualifying factors.
Ineligible students:
– Recipients of national, external, or other internal scholarships (no double funding)
– Students with a GPA below 3.0 in the previous semester
– Students extending beyond the 4th semester
– Students on a leave of absence
Note: The scholarship will be revoked if the selected student takes a leave of absence instead of registering for the semester.
Benefits: Tuition Reduction
Graduate Assistantship (Research Assistant) |
Selected each semester upon the recommendation of the department chair. Assists faculty members with research and academic duties for a 6-month term.
Ineligible students:
– Recipients of national, external, or other internal scholarships (no double funding)
– Students extending beyond the 4th semester
– Students on a leave of absence
Benefits: Tuition Reduction
Teaching Assistantship
Selected each semester. Assists in general coursework and student mentoring for a 6-month term.
Ineligible students:
– Students extending beyond the 4th semester
– Students on a leave of absence
– Recipients of national, external, or other internal scholarships (no double funding)
Benefits: Stipend/expense support
For international students
Hanyang International Excellence Awards
Eligibility: International students with excellent academic performance
Benefit: Up to 100% tuition waiver
Notes: Automatic consideration based on academic records
Foreign Alumni Scholarship
Eligibility: Hanyang University graduates with foreign citizenship
Benefit: 50% tuition coverage in addition to research/teaching assistantships
TOPIK Scholarship
Eligibility: International students who have passed TOPIK
Benefit: Partial tuition support depending on TOPIK level
Notes: Applies to Korean language program students
Graduate Research/Teaching Assistantships
Eligibility: Graduate students enrolled in research or teaching programs
Benefit: Monthly stipend plus partial tuition support
