Doctoral Programs

This program trains students to master strategy formulation, intelligence analysis, market intelligence, and security and risk management through a curriculum that blends rigorous theory with practical application, including the use of AI and big data technologies. Graduates are prepared for leadership roles as strategists and decision-makers in government agencies, multinational corporations, financial institutions, and other sectors requiring sophisticated intelligence capabilities. The Doctor of Philosophy in International Studies (Korean Studies) program at Hanyang University GSIS is an interdisciplinary program that seeks to provide a profound understanding of Korea through the integrated study of its history, society, culture, politics, and economy. The program admits non-Korean applicants exclusively and offers courses primarily in English, attracting an international student body from diverse regions including the Americas, Europe, Africa, Russia, and Asia. Doctoral students engage in cutting-edge research on Korea’s political transitions, industrial innovation, and social transformations, employing comparative and multidisciplinary methodologies.
